I mentioned on Friday that my next post would be about these great new nappies that I listed in the Shop on Saturday evening.

A bit of back story as to why I’ve introduced this new product:
So for a long time I have been a big advocate for sized nappies. That you purchase new sized nappies when your baby grows as this was the best thing (in my view of the time). I was never really a fan of the one sized option that was coming available, as we started out making All In One nappies, I felt that using a one sized design for an All In One nappy was a pointless process as babies wet differently as they get older and you would need different booster pads, losing the All In One design and appeal.
Fast forward a couple of years, and I started making All In Two nappies, and at the beginning of this year, I also started doing a fair bit of research into what mummies and daddies want for their babies and I had an overwhelming amount of requests for OSFM nappies. I recently read a review on cloth nappies too, comments and all which lead me to the decision that I would have a try of One Sized nappies and the reason was this…
a lot of parents stated that they had started out using cloth nappies with their bub, but the baby grew out of their smalls and they couldn’t afford to or didn’t want to buy the next size up, so they stopped using cloth all together. Now, my sized nappies are fairly generously sized, as I felt this way when my son grew out of his smalls when he was 1 week old (a story for another time) but I was struck by this as something I had to deal with!! (since I want you guys to actually be using your cloth nappies!!)
So it was at this time that I decided to try a One Sized Fits Most (OSFM) design and test it out to see if I liked it and if my partner was willing to use it. (I of course will not make or sell a product that I don’t enjoy using myself, why would I make you buy it if I wont use it??). After a month or so of testing and re-testing a design, I have now introduced into my range my OSFM nappy which I LOVE!!!!
It has all the usual wonderful WeePantz features of gorgeously soft minky outer layer with a hidden layer of PUL for waterproofing, microfleece against baby’s bottom to keep them comfy and dry, super absorbent 420GSM bamboo for maximum absorbency and the best quality fabrics on the market.
It also boasts the implementation of rise snaps to get the perfect fit.

Basically, how they work, is that as your baby grows, you can not only snap your nappy on a larger setting at the hips as with my sized nappies, but you can also snap the nappy down at the rise to ensure a perfect fit around the legs too.
I find that this is a wonderful feature as I do not use “night nappies” we simply put extra boosters in our regular daytime nappies for our son (its all just extra bamboo anyway isnt it?). So at night, we just snap the nappy out one more setting to make room for the extra boosters without squishing his little boy parts. EASY! Everything is contained and he is comfortable.

The booster pad also simply snaps down to fit inside the nappy on each setting. The outer shell is also compatible with all of the sized booster pads, so you would definitely be able to use a NB sized pad for the smallest setting, a SMALL for the next setting up and so on if you feel that would suit your baby’s wetting needs better.

And as there are two rows of snaps on the waist, you are also less likely to get wing droop on smaller babies.
I simply love, love, love these nappies, and I have definitely changed my mind about OSFM nappies and really think now that they are a great option to keep your baby in cloth nappies from birth right up until toilet training. I even think that the largest setting is bigger than my large size which is great for late toilet trainers like my son as the large was getting that little bit too small in the rise for him especially at night time.
At $30 each, they are also at a great price for something that will last the entire way through the nappy stage. That’s 2 or 3 years of nappy wear.
Why not give them a go? There are 5 different prints now available for purchase on the website here. Or you can purchase a trial pack if that’s more your style (trial packs will be all minky as there are not any basics OSFM nappies for sale at this time, colours will be picked at random).
